Description

Join Solaria Labs as a Data Science Co-op and become an integral part of our innovation-driven team tackling diverse and complex challenges in the insurance domain. We leverage both Liberty Mutual and partner data, applying the latest AI and Machine Learning techniques to create solutions that redefine what’s possible. As a co-op, you’ll collaborate with data scientists and engineering teams to explore and experiment with new concepts and approaches that could shape the future of insurance.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Collaborate within an innovative lab environment—balancing focused coding sessions with active participation in ideation and product design.
  • Explore and experiment with emerging AI and Machine Learning technologies, including generative AI, NLP/NLU, computer vision, and trends in insuretech, fintech, and the sharing economy.
  • Develop and iterate on prototypes using Python, thriving in a fast-paced R&D setting with a start-up mentality.
  • Build custom algorithms, uncover data-driven insights, and share findings with the team and stakeholders.
  • Continuously sharpen your skills by embracing new technologies and participating in hackathons, meetups, and other learning opportunities.

Qualifications: 

  • Working towards a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD Degree in Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or other relevant field
  • Strong technical, analytical, communication and organizational skills
  • A strong academic record with a cumulative 3.0 GPA preferred 
  • Must be able to work full-time from January – June 2026
