At Liberty Mutual, we're on a mission to change the way people experience insurance in a world rewired by AI. From test-driving the latest technologies to building intuitive applications our customers rely on, technology is the force multiplier behind industry-leading solutions that deliver peace of mind for our customers worldwide.

As an entry-level technology employee, you'll take part in our six-month TechStart Program — an immersive, collaborative experience designed to develop high-performing engineers who are grounded in engineering fundamentals and ready to contribute to future-facing work. You'll build strong technical foundations, develop fluency in AI-assisted development, and grow the judgment and systems thinking to succeed — supported by dedicated mentorship, an engaged cohort community, and the full backing and comprehensive benefits of a Fortune 100 company.

Ready to join us?

The details

The TechStart Program is designed to help you grow — pairing strong engineering foundations with hands-on experience that builds your skills, judgment, and confidence. You'll begin by building the foundations and readiness to contribute — getting grounded in Liberty, our ways of working, and the essential technical and durable skills that set you up for success. From there, you'll join an engineering team and develop real capability through work that matters, strengthening your skills in context with clear, guided support from a dedicated mentor and an engaged cohort community alongside you throughout.

As you grow, you'll contribute to a culture of code quality and sound security practices, deepen your understanding of architecture and modern engineering principles, and build fluency in AI-assisted development. You'll be a valued, contributing member of an agile team working to solve complex business problems by delivering high-quality software that creates an outstanding experience for our customers — learning not just how to build, but why, while gaining exposure to emerging technologies including agentic AI.
