Calling all aspiring data scientists! Here’s the perfect opportunity to grow your knowledge and skills in key areas such as GenAI, machine learning, and various modeling techniques and software, just to name a few.

 

In this 11-week Data Science Summer Internship Program, you’ll work both independently and as part of a team to research, gather, and analyze data, build or enhance robust models, and recommend solutions that impact business decisions – all while you augment your technical skillset and build business acumen.

 

This internship program may be your first step toward pursuing a rewarding career at Liberty Mutual, one of the leading property and casualty insurers in the United States and a global Fortune 100 company. Our interns often transition into full-time data scientists at our Boston Headquarters.

Qualifications

What you’ve got

  • Currently pursuing a master’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related discipline
  • 0-2 years of professional experience
  • Intermediate experience with programming languages such as Python or R
  • Foundational knowledge of statistical analysis concepts, techniques, and tools
  • Demonstrated experience with exploratory data analysis, regression analysis, and model development and evaluation through coursework and/or internships
  • Strong communication, analytical, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills
  • Permanent work authorization in the United States
